Terms & Conditions
These terms describe the basis on which we accept watches for service, carry out work, and return pieces. Reading them takes a few minutes and helps both sides understand what to expect.

1. About These Terms
These terms apply to all services carried out by Cogwise at 27 Thaweewong Road, Patong, Kathu, Phuket 83150, Thailand. By submitting an enquiry or leaving a watch with us for service, you are accepting the conditions set out here. If anything is unclear, please write to us before work begins.
2. Submitting an Enquiry
An enquiry through our website or by telephone does not constitute a service agreement. We will review the information you provide and respond with our assessment and an outline of the work involved. A service agreement begins only when both parties have agreed on the scope of work and the applicable fee, and the watch has been received at our workshop.
3. Assessment and Quotation
Where a watch requires hands-on inspection before a final price can be determined, we will carry out a brief assessment at no charge and communicate our findings before proceeding. We will not begin billable work without your written agreement. If additional work is identified partway through a service, we will pause and seek your approval before continuing.
4. Pricing
Our current service prices are published on our Solutions page. Prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and include the skilled labour and routine materials required for the listed service. Parts not included in the standard service description — such as crystals, crowns, or specific replacement components — are quoted separately and require separate approval.
We reserve the right to adjust published prices for future enquiries. Work quoted and agreed upon will be carried out at the agreed price regardless of subsequent changes.
5. Turnaround Times
We provide an estimated completion period at the time of agreement. These estimates are made in good faith but may be affected by the availability of parts, the condition of the movement, or the demands of the work itself. We will notify you if the expected timeline changes substantially. We do not accept responsibility for delays arising from factors outside our direct control, including international parts sourcing.
6. Collection and Delivery of Watches
Watches left with us for service are held securely at our workshop premises. We accept watches in person or by insured post at the owner's arrangement and cost. On completion of work, we will notify you and arrange collection or return shipping. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by a courier service chosen by the owner.
Completed watches left uncollected for more than 60 days following notification will be held in secure storage, and a storage charge may apply from day 61 onward. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before any such charge is applied.
7. Our Work and Responsibility
We apply careful, well-documented methods to every watch we service. Our responsibility is limited to the work agreed upon and described in writing. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions that were not declared or apparent at intake, for damage arising from normal wear after the watch is returned, or for the behaviour of original parts that were not replaced as part of the service.
Should a fault arise that is directly attributable to work we have carried out, we will investigate and, where the fault is confirmed as ours, remedy it at no cost within twelve months of the service date. This applies to the specific work performed and does not extend to unrelated components or conditions.
8. Watches of Sentimental or Significant Value
For watches submitted for restoration or complicated service, we document the condition of the piece at intake with photographs and written notes. This record is shared with you and retained for your file. We ask that you inform us of any known history, previous repairs, or particular concerns so that we can approach the work accordingly.
9. Payment
Payment is due in full on completion of the work and before the watch is returned. We accept Thai Baht by cash and by bank transfer. Details will be provided on our service completion notification. We do not release a watch until the agreed amount has cleared.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, photographs, and service descriptions — belongs to Cogwise and may not be reproduced or adapted without our written agreement. Watch brands and trademarks mentioned in our service descriptions belong to their respective owners; we are an independent workshop and have no affiliation with any manufacturer.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through direct discussion will be referred to the courts of Phuket Province.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time a service agreement is made will apply to that service. The current version is always available on this page, with the revision date shown above.
